Is Network Marketing Right For Me?

The first decision you have to make concerns whether network marketing is (still) right for you. In my opinion there is no perfect or right type of person for network marketing. There seems to be one common myth that network marketing is all about selling, so many people who don't see themselves as "salespeople" shy away from it. If the truth be known, most of the people who are a huge success in network marketing are not "sales types" themselves. They build their business by listening to people's needs and wants, and then provide an answer and/or a decision.

People (prospects) aren't really looking for products, services--or even a business opportunity; they're looking for assistance or solutions pertaining to their particular life's problems. We can't solve them all with network marketing, but for many - we can help. So, we are not in the sales business (in the strict sense of the word); rather, we are in the problem-solving and dream-building business--as consultants.

The main reason so many people are deciding to enter network marketing is that it fits the current marketing trends. In case you haven't noticed, the baby boomers (those born between 1946 and 1964) are in control. Seventy-six million strong in the United States, and over a billion worldwide, the boomers have dictated what's hot, from fast food to SUVs.

Now the boomers are searching for products that'll help them look and feel younger, and for ways to secure their financial future with residual income and enjoy more leveraged time. Network marketing offers the solution in one neat package making their search easier.

The final reason why so many people of all ages are interested in network marketing is the www. Thanks to the internet, people can now work from the comfort of their home, and within a few months to a few years, build a large international business. The income from this business will secure their financial future (residual income) and provide more leveraged free time to truly enjoy life. Does this fit the lifestyle you have, or want?
